Alternative Mental Health Crisis Support
Being in crisis, considering suicide or self-harm can be immensely painful and frightening. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer 24 hour crisis intervention, so we’ve listed some alternative sources of support for mental health crisis. These people are specially trained and they want to help you, so you don’t have to suffer alone.
The list below is here to help put you in touch with people who may be able to support you. Please be aware this is not an exhaustive list because there are too many specialists and support providers available to be able to list them all here effectively.
This is not a list of recommendations because, as individuals, services that may work very well for some people may not be suitable for others. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you take time finding a provider that you feel you can trust. Someone you think you can work with and who’s services work best for you.
If you are in crisis, considering suicide or self-harm, or struggling with mental health concerns, please contact your GP. Your GP may provide you with direct access to NHS support services. If it’s out of hours, your GP will gives details of how get help via a voicemail or their website.
